Well, I am still adjusting to life after yet another Heart
Attack. Hard to stay up, but I was given this so I will share it.
I have had a long-standing issue with a lot of what the modern, and mostly
"woke" church calls Worship Music. The cadence is all wrong. It is
nearly impossible, if not impossible, to sing them in unison, or "In
Unity".
I am old enough to remember church services where the church sang as one with
one voice and The Manifest Presence (not just the legal presence) of The Holy
Spirit was in evidence with spontaneous healing's and deliverance.
Of course most of the services today are so orchestrated and scheduled to the
minute there really isn't any time left open for God to move!
When you select Worship Music don't leave your seniors guessing as to the when
that next word comes and the what the word is. Music that flows easily brings
Unity. Save the broken cadence and complicated lyricisms for performances.
If you are looking for a new Unity in your congregation look to your Worship
Music Selection.
If you are looking for God's Presence, not only look to your Worship Music
Selection but you'd better be ready to toss the schedule out the window.
