I saw the article as I was prepping newspaper for my cats. It was in the April 19, 2023 Cordele Dispatch.

The title caught my eye and my immediate response was, "I Surely Hope So!"

The question, though, that has been plaguing me is what Jesus said about "The Beginning of Sorrows" and in Luke 21:36 "that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass".

I was raised Assemblies of God and have experienced the Presence of Jesus. He's actually saved my physical life several times in ways that I can only describe as Miraculous.

And, yet here I am at 70 asking myself, "why?" Why me Lord? Why have I been preserved when at every turn my attempts to minister have been thwarted.

I have always wanted to be a pastor, no go. Attempted to plant a church, no go. Though I have been allowed to lead worship and act as Deacon I've basically remained "shelved".

I believe in The Rapture of the church. But, as I look at the general condition of the American Church I have to wonder, at times, just how much discipline, just how much "Beginning of Sorrows" this modern-day church will have to endure before The Rapture.

And, how many of our padded pews air-conditioned fat Christians will be counted worthy.

No, I didn't read the article.

But that title really needs to be asked over and over again, as are "we" really about The Father's business.

And, will I hear That Trumpet with my head deeply engrossed in my next Electronics Design project.

Good questions.

So, I really do hope that my focus will be rudely and graciously interrupted.
